ITINERARY
Day 01 - Arrive Chennai
Arriving Chennai, you will clear customs and immigration. Leaving the
airport, you will be met by our representative, holding a play card with your
name on it in the arrival lounge. Arrival transfer to hotel Taj
Fisherman’s Cove, it is unbelievably easy to find your place in the
sun; once an impressive Dutch Fort, it is now one of the finest beach resorts in
Southern India with 88 luxury cottages and comfortably appointed rooms. Bask in
the warm glow of our friendly service and spacious rooms with views of the white
sand beach, lapped by the waters of the Bay of Bengal. To ensure that our guests

Day 02 - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast an excursion to visit Kanchipuram (64
kms from Chennai) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of
1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was
built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of
Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest.
Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks.
In the afternoon
visit Seven pagodas Temples which is
the largest of the Seven pagodas of Mahabalipuram (once a city
and now a village). This temple is called the Rath of Bhima, and is an elaborate
piece of sculpture, measuring 48 feet by 25 feet, and rising 26 feet from the
ground. Each of these Pagodas has been carved out

Day 04 - Mahabalipuram -
Trivandrum - Kovalam
IT2882 Chennai (MAA) 0735 Hrs Trivandrum (TRV) 0910 Hrs
After an early breakfast check-out from the hotel and transfer to
airport to catch flight to Trivandrum. Arrive Trivandrum and you will be met by
our representative, holding a play card with your name on it in the arrival
lounge. Then take a short drive to Kovalam which is one of the
loveliest beaches in the world. After arrival you will check-in
into Taj Green Cove Resort - Located on one of India’s most
popular beaches, Kovalam, the property is spread across 10 acres of land,
offering a breathtaking view of the backwater, lush landscapes, coconut palms,

Day 05 - Kovalam - Pandmanabhapuram - Kanyakumari
- Kovalam
After
breakfast we take you to full day excursions to nearby places. First of all
drive to PADMANABHAPURAM to see the beautiful Palace of
the erstwhile kings of Travancore. From here you will reach
KANYAKUMARI, India's lands end which is a confluence of three oceans,
well in time to see the sun setting into the sea. Leave Kanyakumari by dusk and
back to Kovalam. Overnight at resort. (Breakfast)

Day 06 - Kovalam - Kumarakom
After breakfast
check-out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom which is a
beautiful, tropical location that is in India. This cluster of small picturesque
islands is clustered around the remarkable Vembanad Lake. The landscape makes
this a perfect place to not only visit, but also to explore in depth.

Day 07 - Kumarakom
(Houseboat)
After breakfast board a houseboat for a cruise through the
backwaters of Kerala. Houseboat day cruise in kerala backwaters will be
memorable with the gorgeous view of canal systems and endless lagoons ,
Paddy fields, rivers joining the backwater, small houses on small stretch of
land There are villages in allover these backwater but the land area is very
small, The view of backwater birds, people working in paddy fields, toody
taping , fishing in backwater, or people using small canoes as mode of
transportation, Big houseboats , motorboats country made boats used by tourists
, small resorts, heritage homes are specialty of this area. In the evening we
have arranged your dinner at Kumarakom Lake Resort which is
situated on the banks of the picturesque Vembanad Lake, and provides a large

Day 08 - Kumarakom -
Munnar
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Munnar
popularly known as the queen of the hills. Remember to carry a
pair of warm clothing as weather is very chill in Munnar. The journey time of 5
hours from Cochin to Munnar take you through a number of cardamam,
rubber and tea plantations. Munnar is at a height of
4420 feet above sea level and is situated at the confluence of three mountain
streams. The place abounds in green forests and tea
estates.
You will check-in into

Day 10 - Munnar - Cochin
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Cochin
- commercial capital of Kerala.
You will check-in
into
The Malabar House which is part of Fort
Cochin's historical fabric. Its recorded history dates back to 1755, when Jan
Herman Clausing, a Dutch, bought the property from Mathew Henrich Beyls.
Subsequently owned by spice traders, tea traders and bankers, it became 1996
Fort Cochin's first boutique heritage hotel. The Malabar House is in the heart
of historical Fort Cochin, opposite St. Francis Church and 3 minutes walk to the
Chinese fishing nets. It is ideally located for sightseeing, shopping and
backwater cruises.
The rest of the day
is free for you to explore Cochin on your own and go shopping for spices,
handicrafts and antiques. There is lot to see and do in Cochin.
Among Kochi's best buy are
metalware, camel-bone carvings, wood carvings, articles made of coconut shels,
baboo cane, embroidered screwpine mats, grass mats and several other
types of handicrafts. Kochi also has several antique dealers.
Jewellery, readymade garments, and ethnic hand-woven textiles follow closely.
This evening enjoy the Kathakali Dance Show. Overnight at

Day 11 - Cochin - Bangalore
(Departure)
IT2454 Cochin (COK) 1630 Hrs Bangalore (BLR) 1750 Hrs
After breakfast
full day city sightseeing of Cochin or "Kochi"- the palm green, commercial
captial of Kerala is known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea". From time
immemorial, Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, British & Portuguese seafarers followed the
sea route to Kochi & left their impression on the town. Modern Kochi is thus a
splendid mosaic of these myriad influences. Visit the Dutch Palace,
the Jewish Synagogue, the Church of St. Francis,
the Bolghatty Palace & the famous Chinese fishing nets.
Afternoon, Harbour cruise - Cochin has one of the finest
natural harbours. The backwaters extending to the east & south from the harbour
are dotted with tiny islands, formed naturally by alluvial deposits from the
rivers.
In the evening transfer to airport
to catch flight to Bangalore. On arrival you will be met by our representative,
holding a play card with your name on it at the exit. Departure transfer to
International airport to catch flight back to home. (Breakfast) |
